Can Bose-Einstein condensation occur via a first-order transition?
Title: "Can Bose-Einstein condensation occur via a first-order transition?"Prof. Pawel Jakubczyk
Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw
April 12, Friday, 10:00 - 11:00
Seminar room on 1st floor, Sakura, NIMS
I will discuss the finite-temperature phase diagram of the mean-field Bose mixture. I will point out the possibility of realising Bose-Einstein condensation as a first-order phase transition and the occurrence of a van der Waals type transition within the non-condensed region of the phase diagram. The latter transition may be realized even in presence of purely repulsive microscopic interactions.
